Thru-Wall Solutions Inc. is an innovative company specializing in a thru-wall flashing support system. Our specialty in the industry is assisting building owners' and design professionals with details and installation techniques for elevated thru-wall flashing membranes. Thru-Wall Solutions Inc. provides support to the many manufacturers of thru-wall flashing membranes, we do not replace those products.

Masonry cavity wall construction is widely used in construction. As moisture is absorbed by masonry and enters the cavity this water runs down to the bottom of the wall where thru-wall flashing membranes redirect water through weep vents back to the exterior of the building.

Over the years as the thickness of insulation has increased so has the width of the wall cavity. Thru-wall flashing membranes cannot bridge the cavity without sagging which creates two definitive problems:

1. a gutter effect that holds water in the cavity and prevents it from moving to the exterior and,

2. a difficult construction detail for trades in the field to perform proper installation techniques including hand rolling of lapped seams to obtain thorough adhesion.

Water sitting in these elevated details find an open seam and penetrate the building. The majority of building owners have experienced nuisance leaks in these elevated flashing details. They cause environmental issues within the building, are a nuisance for facility managers causing ongoing maintenance issues and are very expensive to rectify after construction is complete.

Thru-Wall Solutions Inc. has developed two products that interconnect to provide support to thru-wall flashing membranes. These products allow trades to complete the installation of flexible membranes properly, as per flashing manufacturers instructions. 

The Thru-Wall Flashing Support System (TWFSS) can be installed in both new construction and retrofit applications.
